Sorry it has been a
while since my last daycare entry.
Well….from Halloween into the holiday season
Our Woofers and Wagglers levels are growing in numbers. We could not be happier (and all our four legged family members too).
We have been planning our holiday celebration and loving every minute of every day!! I have to mention a few memorable moments; here I go:
Waggler Moments:
Auntie Candace came running upstairs to announce the Wagglers are starting to Howl. She was ecstatic!!! She has been waiting for the time to come!!! Too cute to see our “little ones” joining in on the chorus
Auntie Candace also continues to LOVE nap times as she is smothered in cuddles in her restful nap times. She still comes up and brags how they all pick their spots and snooze so soundly. She often falls asleep with them and comes up with “bedhead” She loves how some have to curl around her head and others under her arm, some along the legs and others prefer to be a few inches away. We can’t forget to mentio Nemo and Belai curled up like little beans with their head on top of each other It is her favorite time of the day as she cuddles with all of them so quietly and peacefully. Yes parents they do nap
She also had the pleasure of welcoming a couple tiny puppies into the Wagglers family. There are no words for tiny puppies. Abbey is a puggle (beagle and pug mix) and Pita is a mini dachshund cross (that thinks he weighs 15 pounds not 3). To watch them is to continually go AAAAHHHHHHH!!!! Piper the puppy Keeshond, Belai the beagle and Maggie May joined our puppy family too!!!!! Auntie Candace is in puppy heaven
Other moments include our little Lincoln turning into a little man as he now pees with his leg up so high that he actually fell over!!
Snow has been an adventure for our Wagglers that have never seen it before. Snowie is so delighted that he is obsessively eating the WHITE snow and often needs to be told to come inside as he loves it. How appropriate for his name
Woofer Moments:
Where do I start?
Favorite moments are so many. I think what really sticks out is when my big ones play together on the ground side to side or mouth to mouth. Try to visualize 2 big Woofers gnawing at each other ever so gentle and continuing to do so for 10 -30 minutes. It is heart wrenching to see the care and love they feel for one another. Brick and Taja will do this tons and they love each other. Another pair is Lola and Shiraz. That one blows me away as Shiraz never stops and always stops to gnaw with Lola in particular! Other couples include Amos and Piper, Mickie and Brick. There are many but I guess I am truly stunned at their gentle loving side I have to also tell you all about Taja and how in the middle of the room she will go on her back and wiggle until someone comes to “soft play” and give love Many other Woofers show their tummies to their friends but I guess what blows me away is to watch it and understand how much that takes for a dog to do. It is the ultimate is submission, trust and love. I always try to get in there before another dog does. I love belly rubs
One day I hope to perhaps capture some of the moments I write about and be able to show all the moms and dads. There are always so much that I would love to do but I keep reminding myself one day at a time We are also planning to expand our Waggler area in the New Year. I will keep you posted
All of us have to talk about the excitement of the holiday season and what it means to us. This is Woofs first holiday season and foremost I want to be able to invite everyone to help celebrate that we are a family. We are privileged that you entrust us with your furry family members. December 16 I am hoping that many of our furry family bring their parents to enjoy a play session. The “parents” and staff will be enjoying cookies and drinks. I just really want to thank everyone so very much. Woofs has been opened for 6 months and hopefully for decades to come I keep saying it but thank you!!!
From 9-12 we invite the Wagglers to join us.
From 1–4 we invite the Woofers to join us.
We are also creating a Santa Paws Workshop. Not only will it be way too much fun but it also gives us an opportunity to give back to our community and help dogs that are not as lucky as ours.
All our Woofers ‘n Wagglers will be creating masterpieces and we will be framing the masterpieces and placing them up for auction December 17 – 21. All proceeds from the auction will be donated to D'Arcys Arc. They do an incredible job at D'Arcys and care and place animals into loving homes. We have many such lucky dogs and families at Woofs. Cody, Kiya and Baxter all came from D'Arcys Arc. I am sure these parents thank D'Arcy I know we do.
I want to have fun, thank everyone and give to our community during one of my happiest holiday season of my life
