What a Great Day!!!
11/03/2010 10:33 AM
It is warming up and the days are full of a mix of joy and sadness.
We are sadly saying goodbye to a couple of our dogs as they move to another city or for other personal reasons. Our little Sophie has been a ball of sunshine to all our Wagglers and the Aunties. Sophie will be missed!!! We ask the dad to give her some stretchy wobbly hugs regularly from all of usJ
This month has been quite busy for me personally. I was honored by a client who nominated me for the Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Award. WOW!! A special thanks for the nomination. Several of our clients have written nomination letters in support of my nomination and I am so grateful to everyone and feel special and honored to have read these supportive letters. I will be posting them on the web site in the near future to share with everyone. Reflecting back on the past 3 years I really cannot believe I am where I am!! The process of writing my entry humbled me greatly but also made me proud of all that Woofs has become. Thanks to everyone for making Woofs the best daycare, the one with the most heart and the happiest of daycares!!!
Now onto some daycare moments:
Woofers Moments:
WE have a new group that has developed amongst our Woofers….
We are proud to introduce the bachelor boys!
These boys are “cute”, happy and playful and like to hang/play in numbers. They play catch and peekaboo in the house. You can’t miss them as their joyous nature beams from smile to smile. They do venture out and choose to play with “special” girls like Eliie:)
We are always stunned how friends find each other. Often we know who will be great friends but then on occasion there is a Whammy.
Rufus and Jasper is one of those “whammies”. Personality wise they are “not compatible” but in “dogwise” after many months they are now instant friends. To watch a relationship like theirs develop we just smile. For months they reservedly had their little clicks and both are “strong” personalities:) They slowly started to say hi to each other and then one morning they CLICKED! Now they eagerly wait for their play sessions and they are like 2 kids:) They bash, paw and run with each other. The cutest is when Jasper goes belly up and Rufus plays and they are both in doggie heaven:)
You never know who will be best friends. Again we often know but others just make us smile and remind us that they have their own language and order that is secretly held by those with 4 paws and a tail:)
Waggler Moments:
Every day and every moment is a Waggler moment. They are so well known for their cuddle moments and their cute games.
Game #1:
“Peek a Boo”
Ronnie is the clever inventor of this game!! He’ll hide under the yellow bed with his friends Cadbury and Ireland sitting on top. He’ll wiggle himself wiggle himself under the bed on his back, tail waggling, paws up and poke only his head out from under the bed so his friends can guess which side he’ll pop out nextJ Whoever spots Ronnie first barks till Ronnie disappears and rounds round two begins!!
Game #2
The “I know you love me” game:
This is when you know all is happy in daycare. Wagglers are professional at this game!!
They wriggle up to the Aunties and wiggle their bodies bearing their “oh so cute” tummies and keep doing the “dance” until the Auntie is hooked. The game of scratching their tummies ensues and continues as they wriggle and moan and dance on their backs!!! Zoe B is a professional at this and so are:
Ireland
Pepper
Clover
Plaxico
Snow
Peeshko
Texas
Auggie
*****and many many many more
Woofers and Waggler moments is what we live for. Everyday we have countless moments in time where our hearts warm as we watch them play or cuddle or nibble. WE laugh as they smile and do something so ridiculous. They are all moments that remind us why we are here and where there is pure happiness. Jake coming toward me with water dribbling from his mouth and filled with a ball…their howling sessions…their tongues hanging and their prance of pure elation…. Gracee poking at her friends….Shelby sniffing all the leashes before she enters to meet her friends….Daisy kissing everyone….Charlie and Kya jumping to see who is in the office…Choppr Sue demanding to be in the office….Buudy and Zoey anxiously waiting and racing to see their friends….Ireland and Oliver playing over and under the car….Cooper’s squirmy roll over hello’s …Plaxico trying to continually get friends to play…
The best moment of all and it fills us with smiles is the surge of love whenever we enter their room!! Can you imagine having so much love coming at you?? It is a great moment!!
