Well.. Summer is over :(
Hi Everyone
Well summer is over :(
Hoping everyone enjoyed what summer we did have. Personally I liked not roasting in 30 degrees but did not enjoy the rain.
Many of our visitors take holidays during the summer. We miss them so much but it is like a reunion when they come back!!
Yesterday 4 of our “blonde squad” clan returned from holidays and it was a reunion. I was so happy to see everyone. Chopper Sue and Shelby and Pepper Anne and Summer, I could not get enough loves!!!
During the summer we welcomed many new visitors. I love Woofs!!! There are always new dogs to meet and fall in love with. There are too many to name but here are a couple:
Chloe. What a sweet littler cuddler and climber:)
Gunner. He is seven years old and act 7 months. His bark makes us giggle.
Tupper. Oh my goodness he is the highest jumping Waggler ever:)
Barkley. ADORABLE air humping boy:p
Farley. There are no words accept can I keep him
Sorry there are so many I could talk about….
Everyone knows that we just don’t play with our dogs but we are continually learning from them. I love communicating with our visitors and sharpening skills for them to better understand. I also get so much pleasure in observing the pack teach one another about how to play, how to build confidence and how to be polite. I want to write about one of our big boys. His name is Casey. When he first came as a puppy he was quite impolite and received many corrections. His problem was he was such a big puppy and was too pushy. After many corrections and not finding many friends he focused for a bit on the Aunties (loved it). After time he started to try to play again. This time he chose his friends more careful and he had learned to share the play and not be the hardest player and be sensitive to others. Daycare offers so much to our visitors. He learned to be polite and today he does zoomies and leads the others in GREAT play!!! Only packs could ever teach this. I love watching this and being part of social development of our visitors. Today Casey helps and teaches others:)
We also have very sad times at Woofs. We said goodbye to one of our treasures, Sydney.
Sydney came to Woofs as a puppy and was here every day for almost 2 years. Here is what I wrote to her:
Special hugs, kisses and squiggles to our most special Sydney.
Today is everyones best friends last day at Woofs.
Sydney is moving:(
She has been part of our family everyday at Woofs since she was 3 months.
She is everyones best friend!
She has welcomed every new Woofer with special kisses.
She is the little one in the center of the floor with her belly exposed inviting all to play.
She has helped shy ones feel warm and welcome.
She is the first one that everyone plays with on their first day.
She has played with the heavy hitters and taught them to play gentle on the floor.
She has come in every day with the biggest smile
She has been one of our treasures.
She has touched all our hearts.
She will always be missed at Woofs and days will never be the same.
Days at Woofs will miss a special sparkle from our Squiggle but.
Thank you Sydney for being our special friend,
Love all the Aunties, the Woofers and the Wagglers.
She will be forever a part of Woofs and hold a piece of my heart, She holds the record.. as I cried for one week.
On a happy note we have a new Auntie!!! Her name is Auntie Angela. I cant tell you how happy we all are. She comes in everyday with a huge smile and it stays all day with all of our Wagglers. Everyone welcome Angela a “Waggly” Waggler Auntie :)
