Sending everyone a big WOOF and lots of WAGS :)
19/06/2008 01:01 PM
I just had to write about today.
We are at capacity. Both the woofers and the wagglers!! What a wonderfully happy place Everyone is playing up a storm and has so many friends. I had to mention one of our new Woofers, Casey. He was recently adopted into a great home and had not been socialized for the year and a half of his life. He came in quite timid and tail tucked. We did not know if he could be a Woofer. It took him a couple hours and then it happened. He figured out that the other dogs were trying to say hi and introduce themselves. We have some pretty special dogs that always take a gentle paw with “newbie’s”. Mickie kept going over and brushing him and pawing at him. Cody W. was in love instantly and was bumping him and retreating in such a loving playful manner. Charlie would poke and run. Then came Hunter. Hunter just said “you are my kinda guy!!”
The light bulb went on and the play commenced. Watching this occur and blossom is fantastic. To watch Casey quickly learn that other dogs are fun was wonderful. The rest of the day Casey had a fan club including Linkin, Brodi, Hunter, Mickie and Duffy. He has got the vibe of love and we hope he visits us often!!! Nothing like welcoming a new Woofer into our family
Onto another topic…
Everyone always asks about naptime;
“Do they really all sleep?”
The answer is YES!!
All our visitors have so much fun in the morning that they are waiting for the shades to go down, the blankets to be out and the classical music to be listened to Dogs need time to relax and sleep. They have earned it!!! They know our routine and they look forward to their quiet time. No it is not forced they want to sleep and cuddle together. We have place many pictures in our client photos of friends sleeping. Today I took a short video of all our Woofers sleeping. They are like babies!!! My only complaint is that I can’t go on the floor with them for snuggles
***Something to look forward to for all the Wagglers Moms and Dads***
There will soon be another webcam in the bedroom during naptime for everyone to see their little ones napping with Auntie Everyone asked and all the Aunties decided it would be a great idea and all the parents and family can share in the naptime experience. Auntie Candace has one reservation… She sometimes drools when she sleeps with them! lol
Another Waggler moment:
Happy birthday to brothers Tissue and Pita. We had to mention their day as their Mom made homemade treats for the Wagglers with recipes attached. We have such great parents. Many of the parents have brought in treats for all their little ones birthdays to share in the celebration. We think it is great!! Woofs and Wags always celebrates birthdays!
Everyday is a birthday at Woofs because everyday is special. Special Woofers, Special Wagglers. Special friends. Special moments and memories for a lifetime!!
Thanks everyone
