Puppy Socialization Classes
Puppies go through 'stages' in their mental development, much the
same as human kids. It’s a Big World out there and what we
provide to our puppies at a young age will nurture them into a well
balanced, confident and respectful puppies to people and to other
puppies. The more puppies are exposed and introduced to different
people, sounds, textures, and dogs the more your chances of your
puppies can overcome what may become sources of fear and other
reactivity and sensitivities.
Woofs’n Wags recognizes this critical period in puppy development
and would like to introduce a puppy socialization class that would
focus on exposing our puppies to as much novel stimuli and puppy
information to help our puppies grow into well balance adult
dogs.
Each of our classes will focus on having fun with our puppies in a
safe and friendly and nurturing atmosphere. The classes will
combine socialization exercises to ensure that the puppies have a
great time and build confidence.
What do the classes include?
o Puppy agility equipment
o Introduction to sights, sounds and textures
o Puppy games
o Socialization to people
o Puppy play
How long are the classes and how often are they?
· Our classes are 50 minutes
long.
· They run as often as biweekly on
Saturdays.
What are the prerequisites for my dog to come?
· Your dog can come as many times as
you wish until your puppy is 6 months of age.
· Please Note: reservations are
required for each session.
· Your dog must have their first 2
sets of vaccinations and their bordetella shot. Please Note: Proof
of these vaccinations need to be brought in prior to the
classes.
Come much does it cost?
· Class prices are $10.00 per class
and are based on a first come first serve basis.
How many dogs are in the classes?
· Maximum dogs per class is 8,
creating a fun and intimate time.
