The Aunties:

Allex joined the Auntie squad in November of 2007.

Allex came to Woofs with a love and understanding of dogs from fostering countless rescues. Her whole life she and her mom fostered rescues. Allex continues to foster dogs to this day. In her personal life along with fostering she also puppy sits many of our Woofers and Wagglers.

At Woofs her love of dogs is unending and the care she shows them is incredible. She is always coming up with new games to play with them like hide and seek and find the ball. She is there for our visitors and although she does not love mornings if she is needed she is here for our clan!!! Thanks Allex. Many of you see Allex after work to. Just go to the dog park or to a rescue party or gathering…you will probably find ALLEX!!!

Welcome Auntie Ramona!!

Ramona joined woofs in 2009. Ramona is from Courtenay BC Vancouver Island. She has been working with all kinds of animals since forever. Ramona's work with animals has included Natural Horsemanship, Pet store Manager, Farm Work and Kennel Tech. Her experience goes on with just about every genre of the animal world covered. Ramona has a special love for dogs and horses with much of her work concentrated on them. She even trained her first dog to do dressage as if it were a horse!

We welcome her to the woofs team! What a great addition! You always see Ramona running with the dogs, loving them and on the floor with tons of loves to share. She has a natural understanding of them that very few possess.

The Obedience team:

Shalin is one of our obedience instructors. Shalin assisted in my classes on and off for YEARS. She is great with dogs and truly they are her love. She once told me that when she was a student in nursing her professor approached her and said that future essays and presentation on child behavior had to outline children and no more example of dog behavior!!!! Now that is too funny!!!
Shalin is not only a great addition to Woofs but she is the most organized person I have met. I remember when she came to Woofs for training and I immediately asked her to start with the obedience program. She agreed and there has been no stopping her valuable input and program development. Outside of training she is a full time nurse, has 3 crazy dogs of her own (and a crazy cat) but she participates in agility, dog sledding and so much more.
Shalin

Shalin developed our Puppy Socialization Classes, volunteers in Read to Dizzy Program at an elementary school and continues to push forward. Her future addition to Woofs is in developing a new parents program on how to introduce baby to dogs.

Thanks Shalin for coming to Woofs.
