Andrew has a special interest in working one to one on a variety for canine behaviour challenges.
Goals:
Andrew’s goal is to assess and understand what his clients main concerns are and to provide his clients with realistic goals and strategies to attain those goals using the principles of behavioural science.
How many sessions will we need?
Some challenges may be complex and might involve more than one session and consultations with your vet, while others may require coaching and might be able to be addressed in a single session or through a group class recommendation. Every dog and every situation is unique and Andrew will work with you to come up with a solution that works for you.
Common Behavioural area’s Andrew may help you with:
private puppy training
potty training
how to calm dogs down around new visitors in house
leash pulling
reactivity
nervous dogs
separation anxiety
dod to dog interactions
Introducing new animals to the home
resource guarding
What to expect:
Prior to the initial consult, we ask that you fill out a behaviour questionnaire to the best of your abilities in order to help streamline the process. We ask you to provide as much information as you are able to as this will save time during the consult.
The first consult typically involves understanding your challenges and helping to develop a customized plan of action to help address them. This involves looking at the behaviour of concern and analyzing the severity and the degree of intervention that might be needed, setting goals and outcomes that are reasonable and achievable for you and your dog, setting up a plan to help measure the progress and any recommendations for subsequent sessions if they are needed. If subsequent sessions are needed, they may involve refinement and adjustments of the training plan and coaching to continue along the path to success. We may also need to consult your veterinarian.
Andrew's Commitment:
My commitment is listen to my clients and to provide as much assistance by providing my clients with a realistic action plan to assist them to have a more positive relationship with with dogs.
All the best,
Andrew
